James (Jim) Webb serves as the Local Veterans Employment Representative, or LVER, at Southern Indiana Works. Jim is a veteran himself who served as a Petty Officer in the US Navy. He attended the University of Louisville and then graduated from Bellarmine University. Jim has over 30 years of experience as a plant manager, operations manager, and general manager of companies. He understands how a company operates and what is needed for an effective management and how to make a positive impact on companies and individuals. Jim made the decision to retire and explore the benefits of retirement. He wanted to be active and a short time later the decision was made to return to work offering his experience and skill sets to have some positive impact in helping Veterans and working with companies. As a LVER, his job is to promote and advocate for Veterans seeking employment, connecting them to companies within Region 10. Jim also works with the business team to connect talent when possible.
